The Addams Family is Ready For Vacation in New Sequel Posters

Lionsgate has released brand new character posters for their upcoming animated horror-comedy sequel The Addams Family 2, which will once again feature a stellar voice cast led by Charlize Theron and Oscar Isaac. The new posters, which you can check out below, provide us a preview of the storyline for the sequel, teasing that everyone’s fan-favorite creepy family is ready to go on their last miserable family vacation.

The film is scheduled to arrive in theaters on Friday, October 1. Its current release date will see The Addams Family 2 going up against Sony Pictures’ Hotel Transylvania: Transformia and New Line Cinema’s The Many Saints of Newark.

Everyone’s favorite spooky family is back in the animated comedy sequel, The Addams Family 2. In this all-new movie, we find Morticia and Gomez distraught that their children are growing up, skipping family dinners, and totally consumed with “scream time.” To reclaim their bond they decide to cram Wednesday, Pugsley, Uncle Fester, and the crew into their haunted camper and hit the road for one last miserable family vacation. Their adventure across America takes them out of their element and into hilarious run-ins with their iconic cousin, It, as well as many new kooky characters. What could possibly go wrong?

The sequel will feature returning voice cast including Oscar Isaac as Gomez Addams, Charlize Theron as Morticia Addams, Chloë Grace Moretz as Wednesday Addams, Nick Kroll as Uncle Fester, Bette Midler as Grandmama, and Snoop Dogg as IT. Joining them are Javon ‘Wanna’ Walton as the new voice of Pugsley, Wallace Shawn, and Bill Hader.

Based on Charles Addams’ iconic cartoon series, The Addams Family 2 will once again be co-directed by Conrad Vernon (Monsters vs. Aliens,) and Greg Tiernan (Day of the Diesels). It is executive produced by Kevin Miserocchi, Jonathan Glickman, Cassidy Lange,  Aaron L. Gilbert, and Jason Cloth, with Vernon, Gail Berman, Danielle Sterling, and Alison O’Brien set as producers.
